Brief Introduction

496 Genral Purpose Super Glue is a cyanoacrylate

adhesive, made of high-purity raw materials and has

been greatly improved in its bonding performance

through toughening and reinforcement modification. 

Super glue (or, by its industrial name, cyanoacrylate

adhesive) is a type of fast-bonding, high-strength,

instant adhesive engineered to bond almost any

material. Super glues are valued for their resistance to

temperature and moisture and are commonly used

with stone, metal, wood, plastic, glass ceramic, paper

and most other common substances

 

PRINCIPLE OF INSTANT ADHESIVE

Cyanoacrylates are a family of strong fast-acting adhesives with

industrial, medical, and household uses. They are derived from ethyl

cyanoacrylate and related esters. The cyanoacrylate group in the

monomer rapidly polymerizes in the presence of water to form long,

strong chains. Specific cyanoacrylates include methyl 2-

cyanoacrylate (MCA), ethyl 2-cyanoacrylate (ECA, commonly sold

under trade names such as "Super Glue"

and "Krazy Glue"), n-butyl cyanoacrylate (n-BCA), octyl cyanoacrylate,

and 2-octyl cyanoacrylate (used in medical, veterinary and first aid

applications). Cyanoacrylate adhesives are sometimes known

generically as instant glues, power glues or superglues. The

abbreviation "CA" is commonly used for industrial grade cyanoacrylate.

Chemical structure of ethyl cyanoacrylate, the precursor to many

How the temperature and humidity influence Curing Speed?

Both the value of temperature and humidity have the big influence to the curing speed, the value of this 2 items is much higher, the curing speed will faster, while the strength maybe a little bit down, the ideal usage environment is around 25°c and 50%~60% relative humidity.

 

How the temperature influence Elongation Strength and Shelf Life?

As the temperature have a close relationship with the elongation strength and the shelf life, so when you get the goods, better to apply and store at the normal temperature range and keep it cool conditions will be helpful for the shelf life and the performance of the glue.
