EVER® Tube Super Glue made from Cyanoacrylates, are a
family of strong fast-acting adhesives with industrial, medical, and
household uses. They are derived from ethyl cyanoacrylate and
related esters. The cyanoacrylate group in the monomer
rapidly polymerizes in the presence of water to form long, strong
chains.
Before filling the liquid glue into the tube, all moisture inside
aluminum tube must be cleared out to prevent solidification and
deterioration. The aluminum tube have to be sealed tightly after
using to extend the shelf life and usage time of the glue
The most common monomer is ethyl cyanoacrylate. Several related esters are known. To facilitate easy handling, a cyanoacrylate monomer is frequently formulated with an ingredient such as fumed silica to make it more viscous or gel-like. More recently, formulations are available with additives to increase shear strength, creating a more impact resistant bond. Such additives may include rubber, as in JUJU's "Gel Glue", or others which are not specified. |
In general, the C=C groups rapidly undergo chain-growth polymerisation in the presence of water (specifically hydroxide ions), forming long, strong chains, joining the bonded surfaces together. Because the presence of moisture causes the glue to set, exposure to normal levels of humidity in the air causes a thin skin to start to form within seconds, which very greatly slows the reaction; hence, cyanoacrylates are applied as thin coats to ensure that the reaction proceeds rapidly for bonding. |

| How to use? |
| ★ Be sure both surfaces are clean and dry. ★ Apply with extreme care Never spread with fingers. Apply one drop for each 3cm² area. Apply to only one of the surface. ★ Quickly place 2 surfaces together with slight finger pressure. ★ Bond is completed in seconds, or, depending on material, in about one minute. ★ Leave for 24 hours for strongest bond. ★ Clean away all excess adhesive from container with tissue paper. ★ Store out of reach of children, in cool dry place. |
